Week Eleven Updates – 12-Week Fit Mommies Challenge

Time for WEEK ELEVEN UPDATES of our 12-Week Fit Mommies Challenge!

We’ve just passed the 11th week of our 12-Week Fit Mommies Challenge!

For this week’s postmortem post, we’ve gotten each mommy to share one thing that you love about yourself. The reason to do this is to promote self love, which is important for our personal growth and development.

Let’s hear from them!

“I love that I care about everything that I do. When I set my heart on something and I’m committed to get it done – be it a slimming challenge or just helping a friend out – I care deeply to ensure that what I do makes a difference.”

✍ Editor: Mommy Adrina’s caring heart is indeed a lovely virtue!

“I love that I somehow always manage to pull myself up and out of the most difficult situations. Resilience is my secret weapon.”

✍ Editor: Yes! When the going gets tough, the tough gets going! Kudos Mommy Caroline!

“Self discipline is the key ingredient to success, it’s the bridge between goals and accomplishment. There is a saying – people who practice self discipline are more successful, healthier and happier in life. Being born poor is not a choice, but we have the choice to practice self discipline in whichever aspect in life. Often the road may be hard but the results are priceless. This habit has been built in me since young, the vehicle that drives excellence in my journey and I’m loving it!”

✍ Editor: We love your fighting spirit, Mommy Cindy!

“I love that I can extend my sincere help to people in need – be it a small favor or more. I’m glad and happy when they are appreciative or say thank you.”

✍ Editor: Thanks for sharing with us, Mommy Emily! We love you!

“As a parent, I realize that I always prioritize my kids or my husband. I love that by joining this challenge, I learn to prioritize myself as well. I turn on my mental switch – by being healthy, I’m actually showering them with my love. Not only so, I really love it that I love myself more and more each day! I’ve even started adding colors to my wardrobe instead of the usual black and gray. This definitely brightens up my day!”

✍ Editor: We love how you rock that yellow spaghetti top during your holiday a few weeks ago, Mommy Grace!

“This challenge is harder than it seems as I’m my worst critic. After much thought, I could think one of the things I love about myself  – my smile.”

“And it isn’t because it’s a pretty smile. It’s because of what someone once told me.”

“She said, ‘I was having such a bad day, several hundred cranky patients, screaming children at the hospital, I was ready to crack. Then you walked in and said hello, with a smile that reached your eyes and lit up your face. I told myself I’m hiring this girl to fill in the position. And thank heavens, you were actually applying for the job!'”

“It made me realize how much one smile can do and the effect that it can have on others!”

✍ Editor: Mommy Jean, please continue to dazzle us with your million-dollar smile!

“Being a typical Asian, I’m critical of myself all the time. Many have told me not to be too harsh on myself and stop thinking I’m not good enough. I love that I have learned to be open to accept others’ advises and suggestions and I’m learning to be a better version of myself every day!”

✍ Editor: There’s a Chinese proverb that goes, “Learn till old, live till old.” Thanks for sharing, Mommy Joyce!

“I love that I could keep soldier on even though I feel defeated.”

✍ Editor: Soldier on, Mommy Michelle! We’re here to cheer you on!

“I love my skin complexion inherited from my parents. I’m pretty fair and I don’t have serious skin conditions. I seldom have to worry about my skin. In fact, it’s the one thing that I’m always complimented for!”

✍ Editor: How sweet this is, Mommy Melissa! It’s indeed a blessing!

“I’m an ambivert. Having a small family on my own pushes me to my limits at times especially when I’m juggling between career and personal life. I believe my biggest strength is being a rebel against all odds.”

✍ Editor: Wow, you’re an inspiration Mommy Rajie! We admire your resilience!

“I’m happy with myself. I’m finally happy to eat and learn to be okay.”

✍ Editor: Mommy Sher, thanks for reminding us to be like this song – don’t worry, be happy!
